WHO WE ARE

AMID Frontline is part of the organization AMID WORLD MISSION and its responsibility is to take the Gospel to unreached people groups (UPG's) around the world. The organizations responsible for research in the area of missions show that 42% of the world population still follows the status of Unreached by the Gospel.

Introduction

AMID Frontline was established in obedience to Jesus' command to preach the Gospel "until the ends of the earth" (Acts 1:8). Jesus made it very clear from the start of his ministry that his priority was to share his message in places where it still had not been heard (Mark 1:38). The Apostle Paul understood this command perfectly and shared in his writings how he made sure to take the Gospel to the places where "Christ was still unknown" (Romans 15:20). Unfortunately, more than 95% of all missionary resources, from the sending of missionaries to donations, are directed toward places that have already been reached by the Gospel. AMID Frontline wants to change this reality.

OUR VISION

OUR MISSION

To facilitate access to the Gospel by unreached people groups all over the world, no matter where they are located.

To make disciples (2 Timothy 2:2) with the goal of creating local Christian communities (church planting), capacitating them to reach their own people.

DEFINITION OF CHURCH ACCORDING TO AMID FRONTLINE

In simple terms, the church is the community of people saved by Jesus Christ to lives according to his teachings. Jesus said, wherever there are "two or three" people together in his name, there he would be present (Matthew 18:20). The term Ecclesia, used by Jesus, is more related to the status of the people (it was made of the free citizens) than to the place where they would meet to worship. The words "congregation" or "assembly" in the Old Testament (Deuteronomy 23:2; Psalm 26:12) has the same meaning.

The first Christians would gather in the "upper room" (Acts 1:13); "at the temple courts" (Acts 2:46); "at the temple and at the different homes" (Acts 5:42); "At Mary's home, John's mother" (Acts 12:12); "at Lidia's home" (Acts 16:40); "at the upper room" (Acts 20:8); "at Priscila and Aquila's home" (Romans 16:5); "at Philemon's house" (Philemon 1:2). In this same manner, we understand that a church is "the gathering of two or more Christians, in the name of Jesus, dedicating themselves to the study of the Word, in mutual edification, communion, prayer, and worship" (Acts 2:42, 46-47; 1 Corinthians 14:26).

Throughout history, Christ's church has gathered in the most diverse locations according to the context of each time. In our days, many countries are closed to the missionary Christian presence and forbid the construction of any type of temple or place of worship or even the gathering of people for worship. For this reason, AMID Frontline understands that the most important thing, when the proper precautions are taken, is the (1) frequent meeting of Jesus' disciples (at least once a week), focusing (2) on the edification of new believers and (3) the expansion of the Gospel.
